I think you can try the CDC. Or ask your MP.

Married couple with grown up children.
Mid 50s, both retired. Own three properties. Live in a small HDB flat and rents out two PC.
Passive income per month of $5,000 net.
Drives a small car. No liabilities.
Combined net worth of $3m only.
We are your typical average Singaporean retirees.
Our retired friends are richer, they earn passive income of $10,000 pm and their net worth are about $5m. Even though we underperformed, we are happy as we still can afford some food on the table.

I think people on this thread should stop posting idiotic statements and non value adding stuff. Share genuinely and cut out the fluff and rubbish. Most are here to have a read on others' experience and sometimes, guidance. Lets all make an effort here. Silly names calling, boasting unrealistic $ etc are all a waste of time, both for the contributir as well as for others reading in.

Married with 2 primary school kids
Late 30s, thinking of retirement. Own 1 shop house, 1 condo and 800k portfolio of stocks
Passive income per month of $16,000
Some mortgage left, hoping to pay off in a few years
Thinking of either looking for a part time job or doing something I have interest in next year. There is more to life than money.

Where does the bulk of your passive income come from? or are the shophouse rental, condo rental and stock dividends fairly equal?

I have 300k worth of stocks, but dividends are only around $600 a month. Do you hold a lot of REITs?

Go for it. You have enough to retire. Do something that's meaningful in your life. Save the poor. Help the destitute. I retired when I hit 40, with passive income of $6k pm, with no liabilities (i figured out that a passive income of $6k pm is equivalent to $10k pm of active income if you spend $4k pm in paying off your debt). Lead a simple, happy life. I spend my days working out in my humble D9 condo gym and volunteers in charities. I have enough of the corporate world nonsense.

How much of your passive income do you spend a month? I asked because my passive income just about covers my total expenditure and I'm thinking of pushing it up further before retiring.

Most of it is from the shop house ~11k, the stock portfolio is slightly <3k per month. Not interested in REITs, they are a con job that is speculated until now all selling at ridiculous prices.

$5k pm spending, save $1k pm. I also have cash reserves of $200k, just in case I need to use.
