Quite interestingly, you manage to only pay $100k. At 20% tax above $400k or $500k (cant remember, it has always been too low for me, not that I care, since I make at least hundred times more!), i thought you'd be paying that amount above $1m per annual. You should be making more than that, right?
Oh, would you me attending the billion dollar club event tomorrow? We could meet to talk about Porsche.

Clearly you are a poor, bitter, jealous whiner-type person. We know you are poor because you are ignorant of the pricing of Porsche and can't even spell them correctly. Haha.

41 yrs old
Fixed annual is 200K. Bonus is dependant on performance.
And among my friends, I am considered slightly above average. I have loads of friends in the civil service who are D level and earning total annual of 260K (and they can become D by 33 yrs old).

There are many high income earners in Singapore. My friends and I are in our 30s and we all earn about $500k pa. Not surprising why condo prices continue to go higher.

It depends on a bit of luck sometimes. At your age I wouldn't advise switching to a different industry. Being a property / insurance agent, or worse delving into some MLM business, is definitely very risky in my opinion.
Maybe what you can do is to ask your boss how you can move up in your current company and work harder towards that goal.
Of course, buying toto doesn't hurt.

How old are your kids? Don't want to scare you, but the expenses will only go up once they reached university age. Make sure they study very hard and get scholarship for their university education.
The fees currently ranged from $7.5k to $10k+ a year and they go up every year. Fees for medical studies are at another level altogether. The daily expenses - transport, books, stationeries, food will add up to another tidy sum. My son tells me the $100 a week pocket money I give him is hardly enough. Many times he asked for top ups.
While there are study loans, you wouldn't want them to start their working lives with a big loan ($30k - $50k). How then can they give you allowance and still pay for their loans? It will only make them resentful.
However there is a silver lining. I observed that many children from poor families worked very hard because they want to have a better life than their parents. On ther hand, children from wealthy families tended to be more spoilt and think they always have their parents' money to sponsor them.
I noticed you wanted to be famous. Why may I ask? Most people would just want to rich and treasure their privacy. But you, you want to be famous.
Everyone and anyone can be famous. Many people are famous for the crimes they committed.
But to be popular, idolized and respected requires special qualities and character.
