I was a blue collared worker, then got a diploma and became a technician and then senior technician. I became interested in stocks, got burnt initially and learnt about fundamental stocks investing seriously. I got it right now. Focus only on high dividends blue chips and REITs. My good written English maybe from the lots of reports I had to prepare as senior technician.

Thanks. You too can do it. Just buy a cheap BTO flat and then when you retire, just sell and retire in other places. You can even live in a condo.

We are happy in KL as we have many friends and relatives there. My children in Singapore will visit us once a while when they go holiday in KL. We go for holidays twice a year to Australia and Asian countries. Life is good. Thank you Singapore for the good system and governance. Our faith in investing in our HDB flat has turned out well. Imagine, I was just a blue collared factory worker while my wife was just an office staff. LOL.
This is indeed an inspiring story that gives a lot of hope for couples like us. We are in our late 20s and we already bought our BTO flat. We got it really cheap. We hope to pay off our mortgage loan as fast as possible. We don't want to buy a car so that the $2000 a month car instalment and expenses can be be used instead to pay down our mortgage faster. We plan to retire at 50. By then we will have cleared the mortgage and the value of our flat will be at least 3 times our purchase BTO price. We will then follow your footsteps. Thanks for sharing your experience.
