All the poly drs egos will become super big and they will login to anonymous forums in between their 5 min consults to to boast about their life achievement in obtaining FM mmed and sternly correct their patients who asked to be referred to the real specialists.

Makes no difference to other colleagues who know that FM and PSY are dumping grounds for residency rejects who can't get in anywhere and die die just want to be in any residency for the so called prestige.

I mean FM becoming specialist - will it change anything eg) criteria to be FP registered etc? now GDFM can be FP also right- will that change?

I know if it changes, its just gna push more ppl to private and lets just say POLY is seriously lacking manpower. No one wants to join or stay

Isn’t it a bit of an oxymoron to call family medicine practitioners who are practicing family medicine (a truly generalist discipline) a specialist?

Maybe you’re quite Junior.
The MMed starting pay is pegged to your seniority / PGY as well.
When I completed MMed I was 7 years post grad alr and my starting base monthly pay was already in the 5 digits.
