Default Big 3 - Associate General Counsel

Anyone knows what is the general salary range to be negotiating for a 5 PQE overseas qualified lawyer? Role is based in Singapore.

Based on information from LinkedIn, the top three companies which most of the alumni from the school that is in question are working in are MinterEllison, Ashurst, Allens. They seem to be big and good companies.

Since the companies in SG prefer our local grads, does this mean it would be harder to get into these firms in SG branch than if we were in Aus with the same degree? We are looking at Uni Melb or Uni Sydney.

A strange thing that I've noticed is, based on Linkedin, it looks like there aren't many Singapore law graduates from these two schools. I looked at Monash too and there were seemingly more law graduates from there

How are the outcomes of the Aus graduates in SG?
for aus uni, law regarded same as med

your father got more money than you got brain cells

if you gotta borrow 200k to get this kind of degree the lack of brain cells may be hereditary

Lol CC attracts (and offers to) a certain type of person.. usually the slightly ass, slightly arrogant (just enough to notice, just enough to make ppl think this guy thinks he is better than me) "pretend nice" type of second-upper/first class. So in finding that type of person, that attitude is actually more prevalent in the second-upper region, but it is also widely available in the first region LOL.

So it's true that a first is not a pre-requisite but it's easier to find from the high 2nd uppers to firsts. That being said, aren't the bulk offered usually around firsts? Just in my limited knowledge of trainees, I know of at least 2 that were in FCH level, so I don't know what you're talking about lol when u say NO one is FCH.

Ya this prob makes sense for an assoc rising through the ranks but what does it mean for partners to take that route?

My own opinion. I rather see a nus educated doctor than an aussie one. Wonder if most think the same way abt aussie grad lawyers
