what the percentage? issit like 70 corp/30 liti management. If so, and this is your only hesitation, then please take the job.
there is usually a split of work when it comes to in-house roles. if you dunno, pls ask.

Managing litigation is part of the job for in house counsel. Do you have someone more senior to learn from though?

Whats the lowdown in the market now? Are firms cutting salaries or laying off juniors?

Just a question about JLV and FLA firm, what is the difference between them? Is JLV better than FLA?
What is the ranking for these JLV firms? In terms of reputation (compared to Big 4) or salary..
Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow
Clyde & Co Clasis
Duane Morris & Selvam
Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee
Kennedys Legal Solutions
Pinsent Masons MPillay
RPC Premier Law
Simmons & Simmons JWS
Trying to move to Singapore and I just want to learn more about it.

Can confirm on mandatory leave for WP but just to clarify it's only been made necessary that lawyers take a few days of annual leave sometime during this month so that the firm won't face a manpower crunch when things return to normal.

Agreed with the analysis.
I'm a corporate lawyer who went in house. I manage litigation too... but not much. What type of company is yours, is it a MNC, FI or SME?

You can't rank them on a singular totem pole since some of the firms are specialist focused on particular industries. My best attempt based on industry exp and word of mouth (in descending order of prestige/market rep):
Full service / general corporate or disputes:
1. Bakers Wong & Leow
2. Duane Morris
3. Simmons JWS (reputation more towards the corp side)
Disputes
1. Pinsent Masons MPillay (construction disputes)
2. Premier Law (their mainstay senior counsel went back to Drew & Napier but still a strong team focused on marine disputes)
Insurance
1. Clyde & Co
2. Kennedys
BTW Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee isn't a thing. It's either Hogan Lovells (the SG office of an international firm), OR Lee & Lee.
Lee & Lee is one of those old school, very local-type firm that had a much stronger rep back in the days when Lee Kuan Yew was still prime minister.
