Nah, most firms are quite understanding tbh, unless you're already borderline sucky at your TC. Don't just rely on hearsay friend.
From looking at the ppl retained/not-retained at the big4, there is little to no correlation between whether they failed or not. The bigger concern is whether they likeable and willing to sleep at their desk.

Impossible to fail unless you actively try. Not sure about now la. Whether standards hv gone up or grads become more cui.

The standard of grads in general have become higher, which creates problems when bellcurving.
From my own anecdotal experience, they have begun failing people more easily (such as making some mods fail one qns fail all) in view of the 2023 increase in bar standards.
However, the resits pass rate still remains the same for now.

Actually I'm not sure it's still the same - I personally know of a few people who took the 2020 examinations who failed more than 2 and had to retake in 2021.
I think they upped the standards from the 2020 exams onwards, which we don't have the pass stats for.

So low ah $10k. I thought last time got 1 divorce case in the news, the ex-husband's a junior partner earn $15k. tiagong from a Big 4. $10k seems more like a mid size firm JP salary.
