Bigger firms
Small firm assoc (2+ years) doing a mix of contentious and non contentious work. Seeking to exit the current sinking ship due to increasing politics at all levels.
Which are the bigger firms or teams to look for, if looking toward doing corp for the long run.

Sometimes standing out too much is also bad. Just do your work diligently and try to solve issues yourself (and don't bother seniors unless your firm is the super welcoming type) lol.

Honestly it doesn’t matter. But as a courtesy to your peers, you should let the firm know ASAP so they can open up their waiting list.

Really depends on your firm’s reputation and your deal flow. What kind of work have you been working on exactly?

It's not unconventional. Many former lawyers have gone on to do policy-side roles in Ministries and government agencies especially MFA, EDB, IE Singapore, IPOS; regulatory affairs in the private sector; insurance brokerage and P&I clubs; consulting, etc.
These are the respectable alternatives.
Then there are the slightly more 'off beat' industries that many ex lawyers enter, like crypto and 'fintech', legaltech. I won't comment on these because I think most people in these industries have a certain degree of smarminess and sliminess but I'm sure you can easily find some ex lawyer contacts there.
Suggest you first narrow down what areas/sectors you enjoy exactly and what your aptitude is, and work backwards from there. "Quitting law" is a meaningless end goal in itself. The more productive approach is to figure out what you like and figure out how to get there.
