My motto - don't need to try too hard to win favours to do degrees(if that isn't your passion, coz you might be stressed up unnecessarily by it)

Maybe you can ask yourself this question instead, do you think it's okay? Only you can decide for yourself if you are content with your current status, albeit quite meagre. If it's okay, then don't bother too much if others say your income and savings are little or what.
