we were not supposed to get any help anyway

any form of help should be treated as a bonus and not an entitlement

Behaving like an entitled brat won’t get you into the MA program. If you such a big issue dealing with uncertainty & ambiguity then you shouldn’t join any MA program and just join the civil service
