Wouldn’t that be great
totally agree. on the contrary, i think auditors are very suitable for MA role.

Think you are confused about the MA program. All of the qualities u just suggested make for a good RM (direct hire), not necessarily someone who's going to excel in a management associate program.

Yes that's because technical skills can be trained, but not everyone has management potential and talent. That is why there's a difference between the graduate associate program and the management associate program.

GA produces competent RMs in SME banking etc.
MAP produces future leaders in the bank (hopefully)

This is honestly one of the best answers I have read on this subject matter on the GA VS MA debate and now I’m thinking if I should have phrased my video interview better lol

Default Greetings from Jakarta

Hello all,

I just received an email for the video interview.

can anyone share a little insight on the video interview? in Indo, there are no clear path on whether we apply it for retail, corp, or tech/ops. But my case is to deterimine whether or not I'm gonna onboard a client (a publicly listed company) to the bank. So I guess my path here is leaned into the corp banking.

In Indo, before we got a link for video interview, there was a face to face interview with the HR. The questions are situationial-based and hypotethical. So based on my conversation, this MA is different from the GA bcs for the MA graduates, they will be in a senior manager level while for GA they will be in Spv/Junior Manager level. So yes, this program is designed as an elevator program to fill in more leadership position within the bank.

Please CMIIW.

With kind regards,
YU

Firstly congratulations on making it this far, yes have heard that you all have gotta do face to face interview first

Your case does sound like the corporate banking interview

As you have already been interviewed face to face, I believe that the analysis on the company will carry a greater weightage

I would recommend that you also read (other than the AR) the MDA, management interview transcript, and some stock Analysts reports (whether to buy or sell the stock) for a macroview

Lol I have no idea if the disparity in career progression is so large for the GA and MA on your end

Was wondering for the applicants in Indonesia

Do you all state if you’d like to be which department? Like for YU above,

If he/she is more keen on consumer or tech ops, what happens?

Anyone going to try out other roles at DBS if MA application does not work out?

Like analyst, RM, wealth manager etc
