Relatives and friends referral program
Exxonmobil Singapore employees are often sent emails about the hiring of new batch of Oerations Technicians. In these emails, we are asked to provide details of Relatives and Family members who are interested in joining Exxonmobil.
Ever wondered why all of us are not referring our Friends and Relatives?
The pay is not great. And the bonus is always “under negotiations”.
We hate to be the bad person in our circles of friends and relatives who gave bad career advice.
We hope that none of our loved ones share the same mistake of joining Exxon.
Management and Union are sleeping with each other to screw us up, metaphorically of course.

Everywhere you go will have Politics.
While Toxicity is relative to each environment.
One thing standout is bigger the organisations. Bigger your wayang show.
I joined in Apr batch. At my time, my trainer Mr. MBK. Keep telling us to write him good review during post training survey so desperate to score points. I comply because I was new back then. Since I have left.
Just want to expose this!
What is your take on this?

Training department is a cushy end of career option for the older guys. Training department will not pick a mid 40s guy to do training, no matter how competent they are. In a way, you made me realise that EM is actually practicing age discrimination.

Your future generations will suffer
This place is full of foreigners at the blue collar management level. Not that they are smart and hardworking. But they are cunning, promoting their own people or taking shortcuts to earn favour from management. While the local follow right process to get things done safely. In Polymer, it is clear enough for everybody to see who is gathering at the cubicle areas for lunch. Whatever the locals management do at this era will affect the future generations.
Oh, not forgetting those pretend to be put EM first in front of their own family. But local management just look at their short term personal gain. For those who knows, will know what I meant.
To name 1 out of many karthikainathan Yoganathan

EM is for sale.
The new boss will probably bring in his own team to run EM.
