There will be a template rejection mail (probably system generated) if you are not shortlisted anymore

I am a second-upper honors student from NUS. One of the majors from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. I graduated in 2018.

My experience with Public Service is this:

SB1 (First Job): application in end Jan 2018 -> called for interview end of March -> first F2F interview in mid march -> 2nd F2F interview in end march -> verbal offer the next day -> contract signing 1 month later.

I was in SB1 for 1.5 years. Went to Ministry H because I thought I could escape the toxic culture of SB1 and learn new things. But I was wrong lor.

Min H: Applied in mid Aug -> 1 F2F interview in october + written test -> mid-October G50 form comes + reference check -> Dec start work.

Just to ask ... how many applications do you all make on careers@gov before securing an offer? For my first job right, I remember making less than 20 applications. But my second job, I remember sending out 160 applications lol.

I was shortlisted for a job as a course administrator in one of the local university.
Done with a written test on Wednesday & attended a Zoom interview by 4 interviewers on Friday.

Personally, i prefer f2f interview..

Conducted some video-conferencing interview.
Not much difference from F2F, since everyone using webcam anyway.
Just make sure you have good network connection and do your best.

Yes they do, but it still depends on the HR partner handling the application. The moment you pass the interviews, it is probably time to inform your boss.

hope they dont approach your current boss though, because that will just tip him off. if you dont get the job at the end of the day, your future at your current company will have been jeopardized. even if you do, they may ask before some critical period, such as bonus. knowing that you have plans to leave, boss will cut your bonus. anyone can advise on how they go about doing this background check?
