It varies rather widely based on a lot of factors. Besides the actual subgrades you are being promoted from & to, there are also components that take into account the economic performance, your performance grade for the previous year, your position along the salary range of your previous subgrade, and maybe others that I'm not sure of.

Yes. sad but true. therein lies the bottleneck and I'm not sure if that's the reason why the teaching track is so damn hard to go up. A lot of ST/LT/MTT all 'lateral transfer' from leadership track zzz. Takes a hell lot for a HOT to go up the teaching track.

Of course they’d want to transfer to teaching track if they are in SEO. Being an ST only requires you to teach, mentor and maybe at times conduct workshop. But you don’t need to be in charge of events, planning and admin stuff like budgeting, implement new policies.

Do so much lesser but salary is the same at abt 8k. Also, even if you get C as SEO1, your pb is still 2-2.2months. Why need to slog so hard when this is such a comfortable salary.
