For open posting, you never try you never know.

If you are young and/or low GEO can consider greener pastures in the private sector.

If you are old and/or have high GEO just stay put and do your basic job properly. Many officers getting C- simply because of quota, no lack of FAJT, KPs can tank considering they already offloaded saikang. C- still got considered "good" and still have PB. Think about the other bonus that is untouchable. if you are capable and management dun like your face or jealous of you, you can spend extra time doing investment. SEO management forcing GEO to leave service when it is the top that needs trimming.

Thumbs down

I need help in understanding this cost cutting measure. We are encouraged to use Google Classrooms, AI and assortment of ICT tools to promote 21st century classroom teaching. Then by end of today or so, we have to cut Google storage below average gmail account 1 to 10GB. It is like KPI to move a step forward but make 100 steps backwards. Everything else push you to spend your own money buy extra storage or use an inferior bunch of tools and bypass to do the same work? Can someone here explain why?

Well, this will also be similar to

Presenting about fancy methods and pedagogies
Implementing more non-IP projects

But in overall everywhere...

Reduce cost
Reduce manpower
Not enough timetabled time
Some schools may not even have enough venues. Easy solution is to merge 2 classes into 1 huge class. Save manpower also.

Not sure how all the glorified initiatives will succeed in the end

Singapore as a whole is run like a corporation. Cost-cutting measures are just a way to balance the books better. It's not a uniquely MOE thing.

That's because the bean counters have never taught a single classroom lesson in their lives. The people in charge of tightening the purse strings have no idea what it is like to teach.

Mid-Careers
Will be helpful to indicate the following
#years in private, #years in MOE:

13 yrs, female, mid-career, GEO5A, 8.5k (increment 5 to 5A was only $200)
4 yrs, female, mid-career, GEO4, 5.5k
4 yrs, female, mid-career, GEO3, 6.1k
1 yr, female, mid-career, GEO3, 5.9k

11 yrs, female, Dip Ed, GEO3, 4.2k. Not mid-career, never took NPL before, always had C/C+. A little disappointed upon seeing all the pay above. Especially since I also had done close to 2y contract teaching before dip ed so I've been in the system for close to 15y. Is this not the place for me?

2011 - 2.1
2012 - 2A1
2015 - GEO 1
2016 - GEO 2
2023 - GEO 3
