2017 geo5 (HQ from 2015-2018)
2019 started at current school without appt
2022 appointment as ST
Was offered cross level deployment HOD position in another school but did not take up in 2019

You missed your opportunity when you rejected the HOD appointment. You were just promoted to ST. Will take a few years to hit SEO1...

Haha, simple, just date another teacher (in a different school). Only a teacher will fully empathise with another teacher's schedule to be honest. Otherwise it can be hard to avoid undercurrents of bitterness when you have work-related stuff after hours, marking on weekends, and quite possibly the biggest inconvenience for young teachers wanting to spend time with their other half - only being able to travel in June and December.

Agree. Don't hang out as an Officer/Senior Officer in HQ for too long. Make good use of Enhanced Posting Support to get a HOD position in a school. That'll really accelerate the journey to GEO5 and SEO1. (As for SEO2, it can be a bit slow.)

Check with them, especially your JHs, and reassure them that HR is aware and looking into it.
Wtf, seriously.

Hello, I have to file income tax and I think that there are errors in my total employment income in IRAS. There is an amt reflected under 'other employment income' that is more than half my gross salary.... the expected tax i need to pay this year is so much higher???

Not enough advice was given for the trajectory. But it is not true that you have to go back to school to get Geo5. Work experience, mid career, performance at HQ count as well. I was the one who turned down the HOD appointment. Earned my promotion at HQ.
