Not the original poster, but...
it's not so much about performance grade. It's about CEP. In a hypothetical situation where you are recognised with a nice PB, but your panel does NOT raise your CEP and/or you do not have "special status" as a higher tier scholar etc., then your promotion rate will not be any faster than average.

Lost soul
Hi all, been greeaat to see many promotions. Congrats all. I am a UT and I have been feeling really overwhelmed at the amount of things to do in terms of non-lesson related. As well and managing all the complaints coming in about xxx and xxx. Kids being kids will have their own stories and idk I feel so helpless? And then there is like 100 other things gg on which we must keep track and know. I joined wanting to make a difference and now I am wondering if I can even make any difference. So much of my lesson time goes towards classroom management.
I want to ask you all experienced teachers. Does this get better with time? What are some tell tale signs that you can grit through this or signs that it maybe it better to just leave if I am already struggling to keep afloat as a UT.
What makes you all stay in this profession? What would be your 2 cents towards this lost soul here?

Hi everyone, I cleared practicum in 2016, promoted to GEO3 in Oct 2017. Female, no NS, received the teaching award in uni but didn't graduate with honours. Been getting a B every year since 2019 (it's been 3 years now), before then it was both C+. Is it a pipe dream for me to be promoted?

It is a good time to express interest in climbing the ladder. If your RO knows that you are ready to take up the challenge to be a SH/LH/AYH etc., then maybe the school will consider raising your CEP. Raising your CEP is likely to speed up the rate of promotion.
Once again, it is NOT about performance grades alone. A school can give you a ton of good performance grades but if your CEP is still P8 (GEO5), you won't be promoted quickly at all.

The open posting world is your oyster. Besides other schools where such vacancies are open, try for a position in HQ or academies as well. There are opportunities to demonstrate your potential to climb the career tracks.

prob is you cant apply for positions if your cep is low ie p8. based on computer system. so you have to move to be normal teacher and start frm scratch and pray new sch raises your cep. Catch 22
