If they pay you more than your current job by another 20%-30% in this current situation, maybe it's worth giving it a try?

Are there any transferable skills? As long as you complete your 2-year stint, you can apply for internal posting to somewhere nearer your house?

thank you! I was the one asking the question. my current salary is about 7k, so unlikely they will pay me extra 20% to 30%. the skills learned are transferrable but I am already in my 40s, so wont be able to find new job. but internal posting might be a good choice.

fresh uni grads won't start as manager; they will start as assistant manager

for 2nd lower, probably higher range of 3k, 4k if lucky
