Any Tom Dick or Harry can get at a 2nd Upper from a local uni if they put in some effort. If they can't means either they were lazy or just not very bright.

It's not elitist to be in favour of meritocracy and rewarding people who are more capable and or better. Would you rather reward the incompetent? Why would the rest of society strive to be better then?

I went for PT in mid April and also have not received interview/rejection. You could give your recruiter(the one that sends you the PT invitation a call). So some possible reasons are you missed the initial interview date or could be the job is taken and they need finalize before informing you to reselect.

i went for pt in 2nd last week of may and received a take home written test in early june.

Wow still got take home test? Usually is 1 interview + 1 site preview.
