What is the job scope like? is it primarily writing papers, attending meetings, taking minutes?

Really? I thought government sector only gives promotion unless he/she committed a grave mistake.

DXO salary
anyone knows what kind of salary range a mid career applicant with 5 years banking experience, as well as a 2nd Upper honors would be able to get in 2012?
Has the jobscope and career longevity improved since 2011?
Any advice will be much appreciated as I'm going for a psychometric test soon

no news :O
I sat for the psychometric test about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't heard from them yet..not sure if I should continue to wait or drop them an email to ask about the assessment outcome.
In any case, I haven't graduated (will grad only in May). So is there a possibility they're not contacting me yet 'cos I won't be able to join them till I graduate? But really is applying for jobs now that too early? I'm quite curious..normally when do people start applying for jobs? I thought applying for jobs a few months before graduation is quite normal O_O?
I know someone who sat for the test (different day from me) and received a call the following day asking her whether she was comfortable with the work location (heard that she'd have to report somewhere super far from her place). uh...

Gosh I'm in the exact same position as you! No news after taking the psychometric test in end Jan
I'm guessing that the difference in response rates might be due to the number of applicants for the respective positions? Maybe the position that your friend applied for has relatively fewer applicants, which explains the prompt reply? ...Well, I'm trying to stay hopeful!
Anyway, I'm also graduating in May and many of my friends who are graduating at the same time as me are also busy applying for jobs. So I guess that's pretty much the norm.

I applied in April 2012 and I got the job offer in Sept 2012. There was a pyschometric test, an interview, unit preview and medical check up in between, with about one month gap between each event. Dun give up!

LOL, you are already anonymous. Everyone who writes in the forums reveal their salary on condition of anonymity so they can paint a good picture for people who are keen, civil servants and stat board included. That's the purpose of salary.sg!
Honestly, you might as well not post anything. First, if you are looking for some ego boost, we don't know who you are, and nobody's gonna say hey anonymous you are so great! Secondly, you are not helping anyone by saying 'oh i'm dx 11, but i can't tell you anything'.
But honestly, I'm doubting they even "offer" you a DX11. You are just a fisherman trying to get some ego boost. But hey you are not getting any.
