Hope someone can help out here. For a mid career entrant (33 years old, 5 years with MOE, NTU 2nd lower, NIE Masters, KP in school), will one be treated as a fresh grad, or how does the appointment / renumeration scheme work?
Thanks!

i gathered that there are 3 parts:
first on abstract reasoning - puzzles/ patterns - any mathematical computations?
second on verbal reasoning - only comprehension questions?
third is personality test
how much time is allocated for the first two parts? 60 mins each?

1st part is comprehension questions. I rmb is 40mins and 60qn. Mcq type.
2nd is pattern reasoning. See pattern and figure out what comes next. Also 40mins and 60qn.
3rd part is personality. No time limit and i think it has 120 qn. Last 10 are logical qns.

Mine is quite similiar to yours. 4 years exp. But i think grade wise is treated like fresh grad (i gathered that fresh is dx9 and i am offered dx9) and i have a Msc in engineering which i think is not considered.
Their pay calculation is based on my current pay and Msc not considered in the pay scheme too.

to let you have a sensing of your work environment. mindef does not want someone to sign and then regret cause they do not know they will work in a environment they did not like. you will also get to understand briefly what you will be doing there.

Based on your current pay, means they match your current pay? Can reveal how much your previous pay was?

The verbal reasoning test is as you've described: "true, false, cannot tell"
The abstract reasoning uses the Raven's Progressive Matrices.
Whole test from what I remembered is on physical paper.

Remuneration on the job is not solely based on qualifications. If the qualifications (i.e. Bachelors, Msc or PHD) is relevant to the job applied and the experience previously garnered under other companies/institutions is relevant, you will be offered the DX rank and salary that commensurate with what you can produce at work.
