Why is everyone bashing about audit salaries when an auditor gets to have salary adjustments on top of yearly promotion. Sooner or later as long as the auditor stays long term his salary will definitely outpace his peers who left at the initial stages.

As compared to what? This is true for all professions. But most other professional fields will outearn an auditor (except maybe architects) unless auditor makes partner, which we've established the chances are very slim.

Plus appraisal is based on how long u can stay awake to finish the engagement and how "close" you are with ur mgr etc. Quality put it at a side first. Technical skill weak is ok cos ppl will always brush it off with "willing to learn" and how long the staff have been with the firm.

Everytime have to give ppl appraisal can spend hours with partners/fellow mgr saying the same old sh1t. As long as u are willing to stay and continue to slog for us, we are willing to give u that extra $ to make up for the lack of staffing issues. Meanwhile please also continue to act as the "mgr" while producing sub par work and for long hours for your learning and development plan.

After 5 years when you become mgr please continue to slog 14 hrs a day.

I know where you’re coming from, but you answered your own question already.

“Long term”
“Later”

Let’s talk about the HERE AND NOW.

While you are slogging, check your IG see what your friends are doing?

And on the rare days you are free, they jio you out expensive place, you also think twice cause no budget.

In short, this slogging to climb is an outdated notion.

I get that you need to “prove yourself” in the corporate world, but surely there are more meaningful ways than just putting in the hours.
