No lah this is not true. There are many deadwoods SMs in EY as well. They are comfortable with their positions.

Deadwood sm means how many years in EY assuming they start off in ey

Maybe the deadwood SM is on the wAy to become a partner ?
If they so lousy , cfm cannot function as SM

If anyone can be SM means can be partner its more or less same role and client management esp for audit

Partner is like a slack SM as SM do their dirty work

SM ane partner handle similar jobs
Partner is just managing multiple SM thats all
