Do big4's have a probationary period for fresh grads/associates?

Depends on which big 4.

Deloitte and EY has a 6 months probation.

KPMG has a 3 months probation.

Not sure about PwC.

Saw an opening for private client services in EY. Do yall recommend for me to switch over? Is private client services a viable career option? (I have personal tax background)
Which big4 for your corporate tax? And how come you don’t like?

I have the offer letter with me but I can't find any signs that states probationary period or trial period

I am currently in PwC's corp tax team.

Main reason I dont like it is because I feel like there is not much interactions needed for corp tax. It is mostly just pass you FS/MA and you churn out a tax computation.

I feel like I am the type of person that likes to interact with other people, calling clients/clarifying stuff.

At this moment, i not sure if corp tax offers me that.

Thats why I am contemplating to go EY private client services.

You should have picked tax advisory instead of compliance

Look for the notice period clause (usually shorter during probation period if there is one). If no difference in notice period, it doesn't matter since there is no probation concept. You will still remain employed, just no promotion if not passable.
