Is it true only sub par ones b4 for life?
If you are not partner, no one big4 for life in assurance. Which SM so silly to not trade in for better WLB.

I have only known of one SM who is Big4 for 'life', but apparently got asked to leave not too long ago. This SM likes to shout at or scold everyone including GA to manager in the team and even clients. Seniority is very high because some of the more junior partners were her associates once

Hi laojiaos,

Lets say i am a fresh acc grad and i am joining a mnc that is not an ATO. Will I still be able to clock the work experience for Singapore CA?

If not, then what other professional qualifications would/should I be able to take? Cpa (Aus), ICAEW or just don't bother with it?

If you are joining a non ATO, there could still be ways to get it. Speak to the sqp ppl for guidance.

Why do you want the professional qualification if you are not going to be a partner and signing off account?

Overseas context, CPA may still look good? But for local context, I think no one really care? Maybe can take a look at the profile of other acct grads that have joined MNCs directly (Unilever, GE, Shell or one of those GLCs). I stop paying the annual fees for while. But I am not in an accounting role anymore, so it is less relevant to me
