Not just in big4, I’m working in one of the biggest mid tiers. Pay way lower than big4 but workload is about the same.. Squeeze you dry. Blaming culture towards the bottom people. Guilt trip you for not working every weekend and everyday after 7pm. Whatever you do is never appreciated. Once wrong, forever wrong. Will only highlight your weakness but never your strength during your appraisal. Local but you feel like a minority in the firm.

Toxic industry. Funny these traits I’m mentioning, managers who are local grads are not that bad and quite empathetic. Those not local, expect you to die for the company.

Wow the interviewer didn't even bother to present a positive image of the company. Really shows how crappy EY currently is under Max. Max ORD mood liao just want to faster take profit and zhao. Company collapse also not his taichi.

The fact that the interviewer mentioned about the outsourcing plan means the company is too lazy to even train new hires and prefer to taichi the workload to cheaper FT. Just close down the EY SG office and merge it with EY MY or EY Philippines lah

Anyone farmiliar with the system can explain why audit fees so much but yet can only afford 2-3 ppl on the job?

Who knows, the interview is good at games. Got a feel not sincere and wearing mask.

A big company but only 1 person to decide your life and death. Bias or not, u decide.
