Also, it boils down to the fact that ACCA programmes contents are pretty much what u have learnt in local uni. No point spending more money to get a cert that copy and paste your grad certificate right

On contrary multimedia Tekong Ali uni degree are not recognised for exemptions in other professional accountant programme. Thus for their case ACCA is the best way to go

Since only big 4 wants them most of the time a ACCA should be good enuf . If u envision yourself to join US MNC I strongly don’t recommend u taking that
Agree. ACCA not like old times anymore. Is a bridge for non locals. DO NOT PWN YOURSELF.

You want to slack, go ahead. But it is really loser to egg others on.

I guess you’re probably one of those managers who only want to make themself look good in front of the partner and promise to deliver whatever **** at the expense of your kar kias. I hope you can sleep well at night knowing you pwn your team deep deep everyday.

Partners love this kind of managers. High chance this manager will promote to partner

why would managers want to make the staff suffer? they used to be associates and seniors too... should have some empathy right? i don't get it...

Squeeze the associates and seniors to increase profit margin. Manager bonus will go up and high chance of promotion to partner. Nice managers usually leave big 4

this. and also, usually, this type of manager would likely to promoted to sm. their toxicity just spread in the entire team, even those newly promoted manager also won't be spared as well

You need to take on a more active approach to career development once you leave. Such as whether to job change again, whether to take on more responsibilities and others.

Within big4, no point planning since everything is the same from progression to pay. Even if you have a good rating, it is a difference of 0.5 month bonus. In fact, you rather not be too good in your work. Good = do more at same pay.

A job in Big4 is commoditized. Outside will be different and that affects your career trajectory.

Last time my team mgr, partner say can give by next Friday

He will ask the staff to give by Monday so he can impress the partner , at the same time , he won’t work the weekends as he will review on Monday

So who suffer? The staff and snr in between who has to work over weekends lah

U ask me why audit not worth it. Cos the 5 years of this kind of sabo never stop until u become mgr. the pay at Mgr also 7-8 k only. U work in commercial if u good enuf plus jump one time. Is not that difficult to get the same pay with Better working hours
