I'm the poster from post 16.
Yesterday my manager announced the dip loser's promotion during department meeting.
And that loser wants to buy us lunch yesterday but I refused to go.
I feel so helpless, imagine being beaten by a dip holder in promotion. And the HR even had the cheek to tell me that MNCs don't work in my way. They talk about value add but if every company work in their way, then what's the point of getting a degree?

You are definitely a troll. So someone with a degree but cannot perform should be promoted ahead of someone with lower qualifications but performing well? Lol!

I agree with you.
If any diploma or ITE holder can promote faster than a degree holder, what is the point of spending so many years taking my degree?
Work performance should never surpass the degree. If you don't have a degree then nothing you do should make a difference. Nowadays degree is so easy to take. These people should stop being so lazy.

Sad but degrees are getting useless since almost everyone has one. That's not even counting how foreigners have degrees AND years of experience while being the same age as you.

Confirmation after probation period
Suppose if you join a job with 3 month probation period, after 3 months, if the HR never mention anything about confirmation, can we directly ask the HR about the status of our probation?
Or is it a big no-no to ask the HR about probation? Will it create a bad impression of ourselves if we ask the HR about it?
