But the fact that the probability do indeed exist doesn't sit well with the local grads.

Put it this way, your existence's probability is even lower than that of 1-2%. You are the only successful Sperm that made it to the egg out of a million others at any one time. Take that multiply by the number of times your Father screwed your Mother before you made it to the Egg, the probability further lowered.

But the fact is, you exist now - isn't it?

LOL. Nobody ever mentioned SIM is better than Local U in this Thread, but more about despite SIM is not better than Local U - some made it better in their life compared to Local U.

So instead of we waking up our 'bloody idea', please learn Comprehension. Even if your Local U is not teaching you that, you can self-help; don't give up!

I guess you really need to improve your Comprehension. It's already stated that fact that some (can be 1% or 0.1%) SIM grads made it better than Local U doesn't sit well with the Local Grads. Which this itself is the fact/truth of it.

On a separate note, I like how you arbitrarily lowered the probability from 1-2% to 0.1%.

And IF you do work in Private/Commercial, you know will know for most MNCs there's not much difference between your Local U or Private U. Only those working Public/Civil services have this misconception; the existence of CEP/MX schemes/etc which is tied to your Academic Certs, which led to them thinking the Private/Commercial works the same.

LOL didn't think that my post #114 would stir up such reactions.

I have nothing to add except the para below.

If my anecdotes are useless, then taken to a logical extreme, anyone who thinks so better not cite ANY anecdotes in their casual conversations (as this thread is). Anecdotes are ABSOLUTELY of no use what... right? Kok sia...*Think* before making such extreme statements!

Well, as mentioned in my earlier posts. The fact that there are some SIM grads having equal/better life compared to Local grads; however Low the probability, doesn't sit well Local grads.

Because it leads to them (Local Grads) having their Ego ruined, as they strongly believe Local Grad > SIM Grad in ALL occasions which is definitely not true especially in Private/Commercial space where CEP/MX Scheme/etc. doesn't exist or at least not tied to Local/Private U differentiations.

despite ITE being worse than NUS masters, some made it better in their life compared to NUS masters graduates.

Unfortunately, most MNCs filter out non-local university graduates right from the first stage of selection. I have worked at multiple MNCs in HR and this is a common practice. The only reason we will consider SIM graduates are for positions that are more junior than their experiences or unless they have extraordinary work experience that compensates for their SIM degree.

This is true to a large extent, those the poster have exaggerated it a little too much.
