Sometimes I just tell my staff to take up another candidate.
Or if we give in.... We will mark the employee. Either give him the suckiest work assignment....
Or give him the worst cubicle like facing door...
Or give him the lousier laptop spec...
Or give u more work to get back that "extra" you ask for. Like call you after work etc.
To stress you until you leave..

You think you have the upper hand. Wait till you join. Also we can purposely give you lower grade so that extra you ask for will result in lower bonus...

You don't know how all this things work.... Maths is maths.

Not sure how is this benefiting you?
Forcing people to leave and you need to find replacement which you will waste your time doing interview( if you need ).

And you got a lot of manpower under you and you got the time to mark individual?

This kind of management should just go to hell.

I think you are just trolling because normally once you falls into a director level, your mind will be much more matured than what you had posted above. You will recognize and appreciate talents more than holding a grudge on such small little trivial things such as compensation package. After all, the money does not comes from your pocket either.

If you are truly a director level and posted the above, I think that your parents did not really teach you well.

Those kind of directors can go suffer on their own.

Definitely negotiate. They need us more than they realise
