Not established does not mean it can uderpay the market by 60-70%. I can believe it is a little lower say 6-7k, but no way anyone would join a IB FO work crazy hours for 3.5k.
DBS might not have a strong brand name like the few international banks, but neither is it some mom & pop shop pte ltd that pay can go so low for a IB FO. My fresh grad cousin just joined Hong Leong Finance as BO business planning is already 3.1k.
Are you very sure you are not confusing some other jobs with investment banker?

Hi
If you can get in as associate in DBS is good, because I poured my heart out and applied several times and I couldn't get in.

Citi corporate banking:
SMU fresh grad into front office paid S$3k starting pay.
Two NTU grads taken under the MAS Banking Trainee program at S$2k. After program converted to $3k
1 SMU grad with good honors taken in at S$3k starting pay. After conversion drew $3.5k.
DBS corp banking FO starting pay for fresh grad S$3k is not rubbish.
DBS corp fin S$3.5k starting pay is a joke but again not rubbish.
