From what I know, C is average(most common) in one Poly while C+ is the average for another.

Default PAX annual salary components

How's the annual salary components in Poly like? For example, in Civil Service the components include:
1) 12 x monthly basic
2) 1 x AWS (i.e. 13 month)
3) PB (depend on individual performance. Average is 1.5 mth)
4) Variable Annual Supplement (depend on overall economy. Can be 0 - 2.x mths)
5) Growth bonus (only in exceptional year, so far only given out twice)

What are the salary components for PAX scheme like?

You will faint to see the pax 2 bonus.

Anyway at PAX 2, you most likely a senior DD, D or Deputy Principal level. Very very very slim chance to get below B grade.

Hi everyone,

I'm considering a career in lecturing, would really appreciate some advice for the following queries, thanks in advance!

1) What is the average yearly increment?
2) Typically, how many years between each promotion? Pax5 to Pax4, Pax4 to Pax3, etc.
3) What is the criteria to be sponsored for a post-grad, i.e. Masters. Is it very rare?

Thanks again!

There is a very gap between DD and DP.

DP, Dir and all the previous Principal Lecturers are on Pax 2. DD is at max Pax 3. Younger DDs are at Pax 4. By younger, I mean below 45.

This is not true. The bell-curve applies for every pax. There is also D graders for pax 2.

sorry, but you can't be certain.

who knows how these Directors and such are graded?
the common belief and understanding is that everyone is peg against their own grade/rank.

but what if the ranking is such that everyone in the same school is peg against the common bell curve?

meaning even the senior management and the junior lecturers are graded as a whole in the same bell curve.

could there be a possibility?

then for sure, As and Bs are ALWAYS given to the same people year in year out, with a few foot soldiers (lecturers) getting the odd Bs but never an A.

i've been in a local tertiary institution for over 3 years and from my observation, it seems so, despite taking on prominent projects and such, my grade remains in the C category.

I of course could be wrong.

can someone in the know please explain and share?
