The interval between 11 and 11A should be around 5 years, or less.
I believe the following age range is more accurate.
25-13
26-12
Anywhere from early to late 30s -11
Late 30s-11A
Mid 40s to late 40s -10

Which happened to many MX11a officers now. Possibility of no increment once reach bar, until promotion. Can be demotivating)
25-13
26-12
34-11
43 to 46-11a(9-12 yrs interval)
52 to 55-10(ie.7 to 10yrs official retirement age)

The increase in your MI over the year is likely due to your improved performance grading. For banded scheme such as yours, you may need to take note that for the same grade, the MI may change as you move from the first 1/3 of the salary grade to another. For example, the MI in the first 1/3 is usually higher than the second 2/3 and last 2/3 if the performance grade is the same.
Also, CEP has been taken out from the MI component so what you get is purely performance based. This is better since the scholars will not get additional benefits purely from the higher CEP.

They are different grade so the performance payout is different too.
Data compilation is still in progress. MX11, C is 2 months.
