Most people just join MA programmes if they want a job in finance. Have never known of sgx being a popular choice for undergraduate. But agan, depends on what you can get and what you want to do.
Anyway ask these questions in the banks MA thread or others. This thread is not going to be helpful

No difference. Your pay trajectory could be better if you can start off from sell-side FO.
If you like buyside work, can find a buyside job (with an ok to good company profile), it is probably fine either way.
