i'm not the same person but...

the low tier can mean, SIM (not SUSS), Kaplan, MDIS

graduate program means - management associate program in banks. last time called management trainee. it does not mean he did a postgraduate such as Master.

IF I interpret correctly.

Unhappy

Was trying to find about the pay differences between local and private, and saw and article from the Economics department found that:

On average and keeping all else constant, local uni grads earn about 28% more than private uni grads.

Wrong. I meant a low tier local uni, not a distance learning institution.

Our big 3 is NUS ntu smu. So our lower tier unis will be the other 3.

It's the reality. Grads from distance learning programs, on average, get a much lower starting pay than local uni grads.

I apologise for misrepresenting your credential.

from a junior HR perspective, all 6 mentioned above are the same status. the differences lie in the expertise you bring to the table.

SUSS pass degree BSC social science doing a job in SS is paid better than
NTU pass degree BSC SS. naturally honours get more.

our head of state, president Halimah is the patron of SUSS, how badly can the graduates be paid?

im not the poster but thanks for the insights!!

would university brandings affect the probability of scoring an interview? of course i know some employers do taste-based discrimination so they might prefer some unis more than the others. how does HR work about that, if any?

No problem, thanks for the clarification.

Just wondering how would distance learning degrees be viewed in a HR perspective?

I'm sure this will help many lurkers here.
