Need advise on which studies path to choose
Hi, I am currently accepted by SIT Bachelor of Science in Hotel Admin.
At the same time, I am working full time in a well-known freight forwarding company after graduate with a diploma and is having a good pay of 2k.
I do like and have interest in events, hotel, kind of a more outdoor job.
But doesn't mean that i have no interest in logistics too. I do have but i thought of trying out something different.
However, the trade off will be huge as if i were to continue working i will gained at least 4years experience in total upon graduation with a part time degree.
But at the same time, i am afraid of the course in SIT would be too niche.
So should I try out something i have interest in or stay in my current job and advance after i have a business deg which seems to be a better choice?
Or just go ahead with SIT full time?
I have two study path to choose:
1) Go for the SIT 2years course
2) Stay in my current job and take part time business degree
So which would be a better choice?

Hotel admin is not an outdoor job.
Do a business degree and stay in your current job. Learn as much as you can about freight forwarding and start a small freight firm in future.

I mean hotel course will allow me not to have a deskbound job.
Meeting more people and more exposure. Mmm

It is a risk. Yes, your degree will be too niche for you to use it in the logistic sector. Perhaps you should start a new career in the hospitality line and build up from there.

Speak to more people about hospitality jobs.
You may be looking at it through rose tinted glasses.
It is not as glam or as fun as you think.
I would place my bet on the logistics industry and take up courses to enhance business/marketing/managerial skills.
Good luck to you!
