Do note that while technically hierarchically lower, some Specialists in ESG earn more than Dev Partners/Biz Managers.

mines was more of contractual constraints that they can' renew my deal further (max is 3 contracts - Public service-wide HR directive)
start out with ESG as temp bck in Sept 2018 before ESG take over as my direct employer (not as perm staff but just contract full time staff)
gets most of the fringe benefits, leave etc except no PB, no mid-year bonus nothing.

mid-career switch?
saw the many job postings and considering joining as mid-career, heard that the staff are very young. Would it be tough to integrate into the culture?

Thanks for sharing. Did they share why they cannot convert you to perm?
With just one year contract, it is really not fair that they stick to max 1 year x3 =3 years while some agency contract is 2 yearsx3 = 6 years.

no spare headcount for perm conversion whh i take it with a pinch of salt
i have seen fair share of perm staff and Assoc/Snr Assoc leaving my division
for mines was like 2019 (1-year duration), 2020 (1 year duration) and then 2021(2-years till end 2022)
