Compared to large Western banks like JP/BOA/HSBC/Citi, local banks neither pay high salaries nor high bonuses, in fact pretty low. And it's across all functions, BO/MO/FO. But if you compare to small Asian banks like KEB/Maybank/Bank of India etc then yes local bank pay is about there.

Hi people, not really a question on banking salary but anyone can tell me what's DBS business management support (BMS) division is about?

lets say I'm joining as RM with a base pay of 3500. I'll get a cut of the products i sell, how are these comms calculated?

Was from one of the better BB (JPM/HSBC/Barclays)as an associate MO/BO. Bonus is pretty **** year on year (think 1-1.8~2months max) so don’t have the misconception that US/EU banks have more bonuses. Then again if you are FO it’s a different story.

Background check only happens once they have accepted you for the role. The only reason one gets rejected at the background check stage, is if the background check threw up some issues, such as lying on resume.

But your base pay should be higher to compensate for the bonus.
