Ya think 12.5k is hitting AVP upper range, but still possible.
Or ask for VP title.

Hi everyone, me and my friend recently joined DBS as associate role under tech & ops, as software/data science related roles (one in Feb one in august) - our pay range is 6.5-6.8 so not that big diff.
Personally I got two questions:
1. What’s the average annual increment without promotion? I heard is between 5-8% but also see some say 2-3% so it’s good if someone can provide an average gauge (don’t include outliers).
2. Promoting from associate to senior associate: on average how much increment? 15-20%?

I know someone with 11 years exp joined UOB recently on vp level drawing 18k+ base. But I feel 13 years exp still at AVP is not a good sign, especially salary also on high end of the rank. It means if he/she does not get promoted to next level soon, he/she may hit band limit and see salary/bonus stagnent.
Post covid with the huge inflation banking salary up quite a lot too, like 15%-20% same rank. Title inflation is another thing - not in the sense big title earning not so much, but big title doing small job. Svp with no subordinate or only 1-2 subordinates is quite common now, which in the oast usually would be a big team like 10+ staff.

Bank no stupid. What can a colonel bring to a corporate job not to mention a specialised one? MD usually require 20+working exp and 10+ year in related field.

18k Is it UOB VP or FVP? Why not just give FVP? it is not a big deal.
