To be honest... those jiak liao bees are likely to be still staying during the previous mutual separation since its a voluntary exercise for those in electronics. There is a pretty handful of them who accepted the offer are the slightly better ones who have their means to get another job outside.

They updated the HR policy back in June..... now E1-M2 (1 month) and M3 and above is 3 month.

M1 is assistant principal engineer, still quite junior considering ST overinflated the job titles one

Effective 1 January 2021, ST Electronics will cease to exists.
Maybe we should also delete this thread forum.
Every few years "reorg" just a name change.
It's like putting a fresh paint on a run down house.
Minimal impact to employee means the reorg has no purpose and no real value.
Other than to show investor "progress"
Other company I see their reorg is "setup a new division with new headcount with new purpose to spearhead a new area"
Here I see is just reshuffle existing people into inflated position. While doing the same thing under a new name.
No new head count. No new office space.
Most importantly.
No new leadership
