Depends on your relevant work experience and your previous job pay la. Assuming he previously draws lower than AD1 and is doing something totally irrelevant to his new role, offering AD1 is already giving face liao. Otherwise, how is HR or his boss gonna explain to the associates with more experiences?

Depends on which percentile you are in. If you are low C and your group and department bonus allocation is low then possibly yes.

Trying my luck here to see if any ex-MAS lurking around. Do you guys share the company you are going to with your dept or div head when you tender? Otherwise, how do they decide whether to impose cooling period beyond 3 months?

You know in some divisions we don't even do appraisal? I wonder how they justify the grading sia....
