From the OP description, I can only think of one person in MAS who speaks in this manner. I think in his/her mind he/she (keeping it gender-neutral to not identify him/her) actually really believes he/she is working for the nation.

But so do many others in MAS and public service. The difference is this person is not being true to him/herself about motivations for working. It’s very unrealistic to expect workers to work ONLY to serve the nation and even tell them not to think about upside. If money is not a consideration, why not give up the annual PB so that more goes back into the pool to incentivise others? Most if not all who work with this person before will assess how obvious is his/her own ambition and highly competitive streak.

Its a bit like in army, after you ORD or no need do NS. how impt/self-impt or good/“good” you are, either way it really does not matter to people outside. It takes much more than some zai words to win respect - in the real world. Sorry to this person but it’s true.

They don't know how to lead. When group or dept head say want to do something, div hd and team lead just throw down to the officer to originate ideas, then after that nit pit on what the poor officer came up with. Shouldn't these people provide the leadership and direction???

Not just that, some of them sibei haphazard in their thinking, now think then now do, the kar kia have to drop everything, to do what they want, otherwise they say u don't follow and are wrong. *******s fks, no brains to plan properly still want to blame karkias.

And alot got no skill, only know mas processes only think they damn big fk, then rely on karkias to do the real work for them. Like some call themselves system managers, the only system they know is the MAS system and the always try to qie u there. But when it comes to technical they know jack **** about it.

Nit picking, ooo don't even get me started, they nit pick because they no skill so have to pick these irrelevant sh*t to make themselves look right!
