The key is in the "boot", not the definition of bad or good

How to deal with bosses who don’t know what the hell they want but always act like they know what they want? U try to clarify what the hell they want, they will go round and round to confuse you further and end up telling you to come up with something first, only to end up with something not what they want.

Later on when u finally come up with something that is what they claimed that they want, when clear with the bigger boss and when the bigger boss see something not clear, your that immediate bosses accuse u of not being clear and then turn table and ask u what exactly are u proposing.

wth are all govt agencies like that? when i was in pte sector my bosses know exactly what they want and have very clear directions.

Why can’t the procedure be like this:

Officer clear with TL, TL approve and TAKES RESPONSIBILITY for his or her approval.

TL then clear with div hd, div hd approve and TAKES RESPONSIBILITY for his or her approval.

Div clear with dept hd, …… so on…

nbcb if the higher up are paid so much, they should be capable of ASKING THE RIGHT QNS to help with them their approval.

Aiyoh, why so pek chek on labour day? Short answer is you cant control your bosses (or the need for different reporting lines), but you can try control your reaction… (not easy i know)

Still before 10.30pm, how about zipping out for a quick beer to relax and ignore work until the next morning? HAHA

It just different personality, some are just more deferential to higher ups, it understandable

I hope they are not able to guess who you are if not next day they eyeball you

I feel the same in my division. Directionless. Give instructions also unclear. When you clarify they also like not sure. Then when you do the work based on your understanding, they ask for re-work. Ccb. Cant stand it.
