I suppose you have to know what is your objective of changing your job. If monetary is primary consideration, I don't see a point when offered total package is similar to your current regardless of higher or lesser monthly pay.

Trying to be positive but when all the people around you are working except u, u can't help but feel useless to be lazing at home.

Don't worry. You can always be a private hire driver and be your own boss.

I heard you can make a lot of money if you are hardworking.

Why not approach recruitment agency? I'm sure they are match you a relevant jobs.
There are plenty of job agency out there in Singapore

If we accept contract with lower pay for the time being, can we still state the last drawn from the perm role when looking for next job?
