Is 5 mil a lot?
I guess 5 mil is a lot to some, a meaningful to others, a peanut to quite a few.

Nowadays, I feel numb when i see my portfolio go up and down $20-50k in a single day. I spend $10k , 20k a month without feeling the pinch. I know end of the month, my passive income will replendish the amount.

Oh.. How I wish I can do more.. like those CEOs who can enjoy first class flight every month.. Or live in Sentosa Bungalows...

I've retired since 33yrs old.. and now my only objective is to double my money every 7years and I will be happy. I don't ask for more.. Thank You God!

If i am already a multi-millionaire, do i care to surf websites like salary.sg and see how average people earn their money? I will be happily retiring and enjoying life....
Life as a multi-millionaire is lonely.. if you are single.
Yours friends are all working their butts off and they can see you only after office hours.
So lonely that many young millionaires surf the web and just chit-chat.

Sometimes, I meet up with fellow millionaires for coffee at starbucks during office hours at ulu location with no crowd.

Sometimes, I go with fellow millionaires to property showroom. It is kind of a hobby to us.

Sometimes, We go out test-driving cars when the showroom is empty during office hours.

Sometimes, I attend investment seminars to entertain myself. Coz I can get to see "millionaires" or "successful" people talking, yet still selling how to get rich course. I also find joy in seeing suckers rushing to sign up, to enrich the trainers, not the participants.

It's a lonely life and I ask you all to be gainfully employed even if you are a millionaire. Treat it as socialising with people. Treat your job as a hobby too. Don't be like me, I quit and now I have trouble going back to work.

Everytime someone rich comes in ... he gets blown away by all the green-eyed monsters..

Some will say what good is wealth without health..
Some will say must be inheritance... lazy bum..

But at least I am a smart lazy bum who managed to amass that much millions..
Would I rather be the stupid hardworking person this unregistered poster is? Nope.. I wouldn't.

I think you are presumptions in assuming that we are actually jealous about your wealth & lifestyle. Nobody wants to be like you without a purpose in life, doing nothing except kopi with a shrinking number of friends, window shopping for cars and houses, while dreaming about being a top CEO who is really rich and successful and whom people respect. You managed to come into some money but still cannot fly first class or buy a Sentosa bungalow and struggling to find respect and a wife. I think its sad. Its like the tortise and the hare. You are the hare who has gone to sleep and will lose the race of life.

If you think you are being healthy by lazing around, I think you are wrong. Your mental health will deteriorate if you continue to wander around without any purpose spending your time playing with expensive toys that you can't really afford. After your mental health deteriorates, your physical health will as well. At least you admit you are a lazy bum, however most would probably disagree that you are actually smart. I think most would respect someone who is less wealthy, but comfortable with a good job, a purpose in life and a large happy family.

It's not too late. You can still reintegrate with society. When you do try to be charitable and help your fellow man rather than wallow in useless self praise and superiority. This may be the best advice you ever get.

Angry winna, defixted

It really a pity to see millionaire actively posting in this thread.
Rich, lonely, nothing to do or look forward to in life, no motivation, life suck....
What they want to see is how other millionaire like he/she self is liviing and keep on comparing how much other have.....v very sad but it is a good problem not to solve as compare to the average s'pore having to work 9to5 just to keep up w expenses ...

Did i saw any millionaire here actually share how they become rich by having a degree, ,go into work force drawing a monthly salary and by mere hard work become millionaire etc.

What is suspect they get rich by the following:
1) Inheritance
2) single child in the family and inherit everything
3) Spouse / in law are rich
4) owe self/family is already rich

yawn... another round of millionaire bashing.

Did I mentioned I got no goals? I stated my goal is to double my money every 7 years(it could be earlier). If that is not a goal, I don't know what is. We just have different goals. I wake up to earn more money, you wake up to earn more food on the table. Let's not get into your hobbies, your families as I am sure I have as fulfilling life as any of you. Don't kid yourself you are actually living a better life.

Mental deterioration? Oh please.. I don't know whether I am the brain-dead or dumb one or the civil-servant pushing paper or the executive in an MNC buried under the hierachy donig what the boss demands of him. I just know I managed to amass a few million. I don't think you can do that without being smart and sharp in your thinking. If you think you are smarter than me , please prove me wrong and go out and make millions.

I think I better get out of here. Definitely not a forum for the rich. I think I will skip to my favourite forums for millionaires.
