Thanks for the encouragement!Really glad that there are still people out there who appreciate teachers.Nowadays,we rarely get that since we r paid low and get little respect in society. But teachers driving big cars & living in condos?Wow,unless they have parental support. For myself and wifey,we depended verymuch on ourselves to start off our financial journey...no help watsoever.I guess u r doing very well now since u can afford a car & a condo?

You're definitely an outlier. Mind sharing what you do for a living?

I read all the postings and find most of them are very interesting.
I doubt very much the degree of truth.

Our salaries are nothing much to shout about, combined 300K per year, but we made close to 1M during the 2007 property bull market, and also invested over 1M in some badly beaten down blue chip financial stocks like barclays during the 2009 crash which more than tripled when the markets recovered

Me too, when I was a young punk starting fresh as a 'high paying' engineer who's never heard of the truly high paying jobs and thought livnig in 5rm hdb is already a very prestigious thing. Then I grew up.

One thing that I realise is that EVERY single one of them are doing extremely well and helps me confirm that Singapore does indeed have one of the highest per capita millionaires in the world. At the same time,I feel really low morale cos I am nowhere near any one of them.Is it true that everyone in their 20s and 30s are making so much money out there?
