I'll prefer not to see it like that not forgetting I also I have help from old money for my first investment and I also stay with my parents hence have more funds to invest in other areas.

Honestly IMO you're doing really well, you will be surprised how many people at our age don't even have cash at bank or an asset paid off.

Haha okay lar fair enough, we will always compare with those in a better position to ourselves.

Did you catch the industrial property boom before or after it shot up?

I think it probably depends which line you are in, I know guys in their 40's still on low level work (working in corporate) because they decided to change careers at a late stage and also have kids to support. Literally diao there with obligations to meet and hardly any assets.

I wish I could advise them how to get out of the rut cause I do like their candid and sincerity, but given my lack of understanding of their situation also tough for me to say what they can do to improve their investments.

Try to do things on your own. Hard to change one's personality this late in life.

I believe you are the one more likely to be living in a 3rm hdb and having only $650 to your name.

If you have not reached the next level, you will feel the next level is hao siao..
once you reach the next level, you will feel foolish saying that. and you will suddenly be open to the NEXT Level again.

UP UP and AWAY....

Some in your shoes leave the corporate world. Some start businesses. Some trade forex on their own. (Not all successfully though.)
