Im coming to my 3rd year as a marcom professional...pay progression is really slow...as i started out low when market wasn't willing to accept freshie with not very willing to accept freshie with zero experience...Started out in a SME, left after 11months and now still with my 2nd company..Been with them for 2 years...the first 1.5year, pay adjustment was really negligible and pathetic i would say..Back then i was damn sure that i will move on after 2 years ,main motive for a notable raise.But the turning point came after next when my company was taken over by a venture capital firm of a renown brand..Things,strategy and direction starts to change for the better with major restructuring which is really positive.I'm starting to learn more new things, pick up more challenging tasks and responsibilities and growing much more..pay adjustment becomes decent and prevalent to market rate..But still lack behinf my peers & market rate..Guess i'll stay for a year and bear the brunt for now..
