Yes stat board, but I resigned from ministry 3+ yrs ago at mx11 and went into a mx12 equivalent role with a slight pay cut. So I guess I was set back by 1 yr. And the stat board has lower monthly but supposedly overall package is better. Fy13 had a total 110k pay.

I think whether the pay is comparable with ministry can vary a fair bit across stat boards.
In FY13 (7+ years' experience), had >110k not counting hipo/PSL payments.

To be clear, I was referring to experience at ministry.

Out of curiosity, what was the reason why you decided to join the stat board despite the pay cut?

Did you join the ministry as a fresh graduate?

Does your 6.4k include the 5percent increment which was recently given in aug 2014?

Yeah, first job. Had several postings across departments but within the same organisation.

Are you in mx11a or mx10? You are in hi-po right?

Is the salary adjustment across the board, or restricted to some MX grades only?
Reading the posts here, and from chatting with some friends from the civil service, I find it hard to believe that civil service pay lags behind the market, especially when the last market adjustment was only 2 years ago.
