Default Variable component?

If the appointment letter says gross monthly salary is $x including y% variable component. How much should I expect to take home per month?

Question Procedure to get hired as a lecturer

I suffer from low blood pressure and the doctor at the health screening seemed concerned.

Does this result really affect my chances of getting employed as a lecturer?

I understand that nowadays stat board credit to you a certain amount to buy own health insurance, so this health screening is more of a formality.

Anyone managed to fail due to health screening? Such as heavy smokers.

Generally it doesn't matter. They just want to know if there are any exclusion for the group insurance.

I had the same problem HR just informed me of the findings, and welcome me to accept the offer.
